CVE-2026-46067

Kernel crash via unvalidated DAMON node ID

Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026

Out-of-bounds access in Linux Kernel 6.19 through 7.0.3 allows local users to crash the kernel via an invalid DAMON NUMA node ID. The DAMON core passes damos_quota_goal->nid to NODE_DATA() for node_memcg_used_bp and node_memcg_free_bp without validating that the node ID is valid. Access to the privileged DAMON sysfs administration interface is required; an invalid ID triggers a kernel paging fault and service interruption.
