Remote disclosure and crash via ICMP table lookup

Out-of-bounds access in Linux Kernel IPv4 ICMP handling allows remote attackers to disclose kernel data or crash hosts via probes. When forming an RFC 8335 extended echo reply, the ICMP_EXT_ECHOREPLY type exceeds NR_ICMP_TYPES, but the reply path still reads icmp_pointers at that index. The path is reachable without authentication only when net.ipv4.icmp_echo_enable_probe is enabled; its default is disabled, and a crafted request can expose memory or stop the host.
