CVE-2026-46009

Kernel oops via duplicate endpoint resource teardown

Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026

Resource teardown error in the Linux Kernel PCI endpoint NTB driver allows local users to trigger a kernel oops through link operations. epf_ntb_epc_destroy() repeats endpoint-controller cleanup that its caller later performs, while the drop path also releases an EPC reference tied to configfs lifetime. Reachability requires a configured PCI endpoint NTB function and either failed .allow_link processing or a .drop_link operation; the bounded consequence is a kernel oops.
