CVE-2026-45992

Resource leak via uncleared error-path URB

Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026

The rejected Linux kernel report described an ALSA caiaq driver error path that leaves an internal USB request block active after setup failure. The setup_card() failure branch returned before reaching err_kill_urb, so cdev->ep1_in_urb remained submitted instead of being killed. The Linux kernel CNA withdrew the record and now lists the product as unaffected, so the reported condition no longer represents a valid CVE-scoped exposure.
