CVE-2026-45954

Local service interruption via probe cleanup leak

Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026

Memory leakage in the au1200fb probe path in Linux Kernel allows local users to interrupt service through a failed IRQ lookup. au1200fb_drv_probe() returns directly when platform_get_irq() fails instead of entering the cleanup path for allocated resources. NVD requires low privileges and no user interaction, but published material does not show how local users can repeat the failing probe.
