Unauthenticated code execution via exposed REPL endpoint
Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026
Remote code execution in Penpot MCP before 2.15.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through the REPL server. The mcp/packages/server/src/ReplServer.ts Express listener binds to all interfaces, while /execute passes an unauthenticated code field to PluginBridge.executePluginTask(). Reachability requires the non-default MCP module to be running on a shared host or network, granting the MCP process's file, command, and environment access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
