CVE-2026-45795Network attack vector

Unauthenticated OIDC parameter injection via unsigned JWE

Published Jul 16, 2026 · Updated Jul 16, 2026

Signature verification bypass in Janssen Project jans-auth-server before 2.0.0 allows remote attackers to inject OIDC request parameters. JwtAuthorizationRequest trusts claims from a JWE containing plain JSON when getSignedJWTPayload returns null, while processRequestObject fails to reject RSA-OAEP as an unrecognized signature algorithm. Reaching the HTTPS authorization endpoint is sufficient; exploitation alters trusted request claims but does not bypass user authentication or steal tokens directly.
