CVE-2026-45778Network attack vector

Account takeover via unsanitized password-reset page

Published Jun 5, 2026 · Updated Jun 5, 2026

Cross-site scripting in Open XDMoD before 11.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a password-reset link. The password-reset workflow places JavaScript stored in the attacker's user-profile fields into a generated HTML page without neutralization, and the emailed link reflects that page in the recipient's browser. Exploitation requires a valid account and a victim to open the emailed link; execution in the Open XDMoD origin enables credential capture and account takeover.
