Service interruption via unbounded regular-expression backtracking

ReDoS in Symfony JsonPath 7.3.0-BETA1 through 7.4.11 and 8.0.0-BETA1 through 8.0.11 allows remote attackers to exhaust worker CPU. The match() and search() filters pass caller-supplied patterns through only cosmetic escaping before suppressed preg_match() calls, without limiting pattern length or backtracking. Exploitation requires an application to evaluate an attacker-influenced JSONPath filter against non-trivial JSON; catastrophic backtracking can pin cores and exhaust its worker pool.
