Developer-to-admin escalation via unvalidated application links
Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026
Stored XSS in Argo CD before 3.2.12, 3.3.0 through 3.3.9, and 3.4.0-rc1 through 3.4.1 allows remote authenticated users to hijack admin sessions. ApplicationSummary splits annotation values at | and assigns the second segment to an anchor href without isValidURL(), accepting javascript: URIs. Application write access and a higher-privileged user's click are required; the script runs in the authenticated Argo CD origin and can read or alter API data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
