Authenticated database disclosure via unsanitized search input
Published Mar 23, 2026 · Updated Mar 23, 2026
SQL injection in /view_product.php in SourceCodester Sales and Inventory System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data. The product-search handler places the searchtxt POST value into a MySQL query without sanitizing it, enabling UNION, Boolean-blind, and time-based payloads. A valid PHP session is required, and successful exploitation exposes application records and credentials without granting direct host access.
