Authenticated SSRF via underprivileged datasource configuration overwrite
Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026
Missing authorization in Budibase before 3.38.1 allows remote authenticated users to redirect datasource connections to internal services. The PUT /api/datasources/:datasourceId route requires only TABLE/READ, and its controller persists attacker-supplied host, port, credential, and URL fields without a builder check. BASIC-role app access is sufficient to probe or interact with internal services and to disrupt queries that use the altered datasource.
