Unauthenticated Twig execution via Hidden field values
Published May 29, 2026 · Updated May 29, 2026
Server-side template injection in Verbb Formie before 2.2.20 or 3.0.0-beta.1 through 3.1.23 allows remote attackers to execute Twig via form input. Hidden::serializeValue passed submitted nonempty Hidden values to Variables::getParsedValue, causing attacker-controlled Twig syntax to be evaluated. A public form with a Hidden field whose default is Custom is required; no control-panel login is needed, and site compromise depends on Twig sandbox behavior.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
