Authenticated database disclosure via unsanitized search input
Published Mar 23, 2026 · Updated Mar 23, 2026
SQL injection in SourceCodester Sales and Inventory System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data via a crafted POST request. The search handler in view_category.php passes the searchtxt value into a MySQL query without proper sanitization, enabling UNION, Boolean-based, and time-based injection. A valid application session is required; successful exploitation exposes database contents available to the application account.
