Unauthenticated session termination via unsigned SAML logout
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Missing authorization in affected Rocket.Chat 7.x and 8.x releases allows remote attackers to terminate SAML-authenticated user sessions. The SAML service-provider logout endpoint accepts an unsigned LogoutRequest as legitimate and destroys the session identified by its NameID. The attacker needs the victim's SAML NameID, but needs no account or victim interaction; repeated requests can interrupt access for individual users or an entire SAML-enabled workspace.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
