Unauthenticated service interruption via recursive OData filters
Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026
Resource exhaustion in Microsoft.AspNet.OData and Microsoft.AspNetCore.OData allows remote attackers to interrupt exposed OData services. Query validation and binding recursively process nested function and cast chains without the depth limit introduced in the upstream 9.5.0 release. An unauthenticated request to a reachable OData endpoint can consume stack or processing resources until the hosting service becomes unavailable.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
