Pre-auth administrator takeover via hardcoded JWT secret
Published May 29, 2026 · Updated May 29, 2026
Authentication bypass in Dokploy 0.27.0 through 0.29.2 allows remote attackers to gain administrator access with a forged JWT. The BETTER_AUTH_SECRET constant falls back to a public static value when the environment variable is absent, and Better Auth accepts HS256 email-verification tokens without a database lookup. Default self-hosted installations omit the variable, so a forged verification request creates an administrator session that exposes the built-in SSH terminal and host command execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
