Authenticated command injection via unsanitized browse path
Published May 29, 2026 · Updated May 29, 2026
OS command injection in Arcane 1.18.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands in a helper container. VolumeService.ListDirectory embeds the browse endpoint's path query parameter in a double-quoted sh -c find command after filtering traversal but not shell substitutions. Any authenticated role with volume-browse access can reach it; execution stays in a network-disabled, unprivileged helper with the target volume mounted read-only, while command output returns in HTTP 500 errors.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
