Heap-data disclosure via incomplete control-point tuple
Published Jun 10, 2026 · Updated Jun 10, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in ImageMagick before 6.9.13-47 and 7.1.2-22 allows local users to disclose heap data via polynomial distortion. GenerateCoefficients checks the minimum number of polynomial control-point values but does not reject a trailing incomplete tuple before indexing its elements. Local invocation with crafted polynomial arguments is required; the resulting 24-byte over-read can expose adjacent process-heap data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
