Remote code execution via inherited filter lookup
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Code injection in Harttle LiquidJS before 10.26.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through crafted templates. Filter and tag registries use ordinary JavaScript objects, so template-controlled names resolve inherited Object.prototype members; invoking valueOf returns the filter receiver and exposes a chain to Function and child_process. Exploitation requires an application to render attacker-controlled templates, and resulting code runs with the hosting Node.js process privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
