Routing manipulation via unchecked URI concatenation
Published Aug 4, 2026 · Updated Aug 4, 2026
Buffer overflow in OpenSIPS 3.4.0 through 3.6.5 and 4.0.0-beta allows remote attackers to alter SIP routing via a crafted URI. The construct_uri() function concatenates untrusted URI components with unchecked memcpy calls into a shared 1024-byte BSS buffer, overwriting adjacent global data including disable_503_translation. Reachability requires a routing script to pass attacker-controlled SIP fields into construct_uri(); one unauthenticated message can change 503 handling for subsequent traffic.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
