Improper authorization in Next SaaS Stripe Starter 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to change account roles through a server action. The updateUserrole function in actions/update-user-role.ts uses caller-controlled userId and role arguments for the role change without adequate authorization. Authenticated access is required; public records do not identify the assignable roles, confirm self-escalation, or describe broader consequences.
