Untrusted pointer dereference in Microsoft Word allows context-dependent attackers to execute code through a crafted document. Microsoft identifies the locus only as Office Word and has not disclosed which pointer value becomes attacker-controlled or where it is dereferenced. Successful exploitation requires a user to open or otherwise process the malicious file, after which code runs with that user's privileges.
