CVE-2026-4543Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via unsanitized firewall parameters

Published Mar 22, 2026 · Updated Mar 22, 2026

Command injection in Wavlink WL-WN578W2 firmware 221110 allows remote authenticated users to execute operating-system commands. The firewall.cgi POST handler passes an untrusted dmz_flag or del_flag value through sprintf into a command string that sub_402AC0 executes with system(). A valid web-management session is required; crafted DMZ or port-forward deletion requests run injected commands with the firmware process's privileges.
