CVE-2026-45403Network attack vector

Local file disclosure via nested symlink traversal

Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026

Link following in AnythingLLM before 1.13.0 allows remote authenticated users to copy files outside the allowed root into readable storage. The recursive copy helper validates only top-level paths, then fs.stat() and fs.copyFile() follow nested symlinks and materialize target bytes as a regular file. Exploitation requires high-privilege agent access, user interaction, and a symlink inside an allowed source directory; the result is bounded to local file disclosure.
