Authenticated internal data access via unvalidated redirects
Published May 15, 2026 · Updated May 15, 2026
SSRF in Open WebUI before 0.9.5 allows remote authenticated users to read internal HTTP responses through redirected URLs. The validate_url() function checks only the submitted URL, while requests, aiohttp, and WebBaseLoader follow redirects without validating each target. Any authenticated account can reach HTTP services accessible to the server and read GET response bodies; no availability impact is reported.
