Service interruption via unchecked WPP row index
Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026
Heap buffer overflow in libde265 before 1.0.19 allows remote attackers to interrupt decoding through a crafted WPP HEVC slice. decode_slice_unit_WPP computes ctbAddrRS for successive rows without checking it against CtbAddrRStoTS before reading that vector. Exploitation requires an application to decode attacker-supplied HEIF or HEVC content; the confirmed result is a heap out-of-bounds read and availability loss.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
