Command execution via unescaped marketplace package metadata
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
Stored XSS in SiYuan 3.6.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands through Bazaar package metadata. The sanitizePackageDisplayStrings helpers leave Name and Version unescaped, while bazaar.ts inserts those fields into templates assigned to innerHTML. Execution requires a user to open the affected marketplace view; Electron clients expose Node APIs, while browser deployments remain limited to script execution in the UI.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
