Unauthorized state mutation via missing API guards
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
Improper authorization in SiYuan before 3.7.0 allows remote attackers to alter configuration and SQL index state through eight APIs. The routes use model.CheckAuth but omit model.CheckAdminRole and model.CheckReadonly before saving server state, including conf.json through model.Conf.Save(). A publish-mode RoleReader JWT, issued to anonymous visitors, or a read-only RoleEditor JWT reaches the writes, enabling persistent configuration and index changes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
