CVE-2026-45324

Process memory corruption via incorrect pointer ownership

Published May 29, 2026 · Updated May 29, 2026

Double free in Rizin builds before commit 045fff3 allows physically proximate attackers to corrupt process memory through byte-pattern search. In librz/core/cmd/cmd_search.c, byte_pattern_search() assigns incorrect ownership to a heap pointer, causing the same allocation to be released twice. Triggering the flaw requires low-privileged access, physical proximity, high-complexity conditions, and user interaction; impact is limited to process-state corruption and interruption.
