File deletion via uncontained Islo workspace paths
Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026
Path traversal in Crabbox before 0.9.0 allows attackers to delete or overwrite files outside an Islo sandbox's /workspace directory. The Islo provider accepts absolute or parent-relative workdir values and passes the resolved path to workspace preparation operations without verifying containment under /workspace. Exploitation requires a crafted .crabbox.yaml or crabbox.yaml file to be processed, and deletion occurs only when sync.delete is enabled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
