Origin validation error in Trend Micro Apex One and Apex One as a Service agents allows local users to execute code as SYSTEM. The Apex One NT Listener service accepts process-protection commands without sufficiently validating their origin, allowing attacker-supplied commands to run with service privileges. Exploitation requires low-privileged code execution on a Windows endpoint running an Apex One 2019 agent before 14.0.0.17079 or a SaaS agent before 14.0.20731.
