User impersonation via unsigned ID4me login tokens
Published Jun 1, 2026 · Updated Jun 1, 2026
Authentication bypass in affected Nextcloud User OIDC releases allows remote attackers to impersonate any user through an ID4me login. Id4meController decodes the authority's JWT payload and creates or retrieves the named account without first verifying the token's cryptographic signature. ID4me must be enabled; affected ranges are 0.3.0 to before 3.1.0, 5.0.0 to before 5.1.0, and 6.0.0 to before 6.4.0, and exploitation requires interaction with a malicious authority's login flow.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
