Metadata disclosure via unfiltered publish-mode search handlers
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
Incorrect authorization in SiYuan before 3.7.0 allows remote authenticated users to enumerate metadata from publish-hidden documents. The four /api/search search handlers accept a publish-service RoleReader token but query workspace-wide indexes without publish-access filtering. Exposure requires the publish service and hidden or password-protected content; disclosure is limited to tags and asset, widget, and template names.
