CVE-2026-45064Network attack vector

Link-destination spoofing via preserved BiDi controls

Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026

URL sanitization in Symfony HTML Sanitizer allows remote attackers to spoof rendered link destinations through crafted URLs. UrlSanitizer::parse() accepts U+202A–U+202E and U+2066–U+2069 controls and writes them unchanged into sanitized href and src attributes. Exposure requires an application to sanitize attacker-controlled HTML with links or media enabled; viewers can be misled about a link's destination.
