CVE-2026-45058Network attack vector

Code execution via unvalidated bookmark configuration

Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026

Code injection in electerm 3.8.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute local commands through imported bookmarks or synchronized data. The import and sync paths accept attacker-controlled exec* fields or global configuration and pass them to the local PTY execution flow. Execution occurs when a user opens a poisoned local-type bookmark or when configured gist or WebDAV synchronization applies compromised data.
