Authenticated code execution via unrestricted REST file upload
Published May 13, 2026 · Updated May 13, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in CubeCart before 6.7.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through the REST Files API. The POST /api/v1/files handler permits .php filenames and concatenates uncontained ../ sequences from filepath beneath a web-executable directory. An API key with files:rw permission is required; successful upload runs a webshell as the web server user and exposes data or permits file changes.
