Authenticated code execution via plugin import
Published Mar 20, 2026 · Updated Mar 20, 2026
Unrestricted plugin upload in eosphoros-ai DB-GPT 0.7.0 through 0.7.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The upload endpoint accepts a crafted Python plugin whose import-time expression bypasses AST validation, and refresh_plugins loads it before validation failure. Low-privileged FastAPI access is sufficient to run code with the DB-GPT process account's permissions.
