CVE-2026-45034Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via phar wrapper bypass

Published Jun 22, 2026 · Updated Jun 22, 2026

Deserialization in PHPOffice PhpSpreadsheet before 1.30.5 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted phar path. File::prohibitWrappers passes phar paths with three or more slashes because parse_url returns false, while PHP still opens the wrapper through IOFactory::load. Code execution requires attacker control of the loaded path and PHP 7.x metadata deserialization; PHP 8.x exposure is file read unless downstream code calls Phar::getMetadata.
