Owner-command execution via wildcard sender authorization
Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026
Authorization bypass in OpenClaw before 2026.4.21 allows remote authenticated users to execute owner-enforced slash commands. The resolveCommandAuthorization path in src/auto-reply/command-auth.ts treats a wildcard channel allowFrom or an empty owner-candidate list as sufficient owner authorization. Exploitation requires an owner-enforcing channel with wildcard allowFrom and no explicit ownerAllowFrom; access remains limited to the command-owner axis.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
