Proxy credential disclosure via cross-host redirect forwarding
Published Jul 17, 2026 · Updated Jul 17, 2026
Credential exposure in @hapi/wreck before 18.1.1 allows remote attackers to obtain proxy credentials through cross-host redirects. The redirect handler in lib/index.js forwards Proxy-Authorization because its cross-host sensitive-header set omits that header. Exposure requires enabled redirects, a request carrying Proxy-Authorization, and an attacker-controlled redirect target that receives the credential.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
