Unauthenticated command execution via firmware upgrade handler
Published Mar 20, 2026 · Updated Mar 20, 2026
OS command injection in TOTOLINK WA300 5.2cu.7112_B20190227 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through its web interface. The recvUpgradeNewFw handler in /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi fails to neutralize untrusted firmware-upgrade input before using it in an operating-system command. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation grants command execution on the appliance.
