Path traversal in SUSE libzypp before 16.22.19 or 17.0.0 through 17.38.12 allows remote authenticated users to fill directories outside its cache. The .repo parser accepts a path entry containing parent-directory segments and uses it as a metadata location, allowing mirrored content to escape the base URL's local cache directory. Exploitation requires low-privileged network access and repository processing; directory filling can exhaust storage and interrupt package-management services.
