CVE-2026-44930Network attack vector

Certificate disclosure via unescaped LDAP search filters

Published May 22, 2026 · Updated May 22, 2026

LDAP injection in Apache CXF before 3.6.11, 4.0.0 through 4.1.5, and 4.2.0 allows remote attackers to retrieve arbitrary certificates. The XKMS LDAP certificate repository incorporates attacker-influenced certificate lookup values into LDAP search filters without neutralizing filter metacharacters, broadening the intended match. Exposure requires a deployed XKMS server configured with LdapCertificateRepo; successful queries disclose certificates stored in that repository, with no vendor-reported write or service-interruption impact.
