Authenticated router crash via unchecked strcpy
Published Mar 20, 2026 · Updated Mar 20, 2026
Stack buffer overflow in UTT HiPER 1250GW 3.2.7-210907-180535 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to crash the router. The /goform/setSysAdm handler copies oversized administration input into InstPointByName with strcpy without checking the destination size. Administrative HTTP Digest credentials are required; the published proof of concept sends an oversized passwd1 value and demonstrates denial of service, while code execution has not been demonstrated.
