Authenticated service interruption via unchecked host-filter copy
Published Mar 20, 2026 · Updated Mar 20, 2026
Buffer overflow in /goform/websHostFilter in UTT HiPER 1200GW through 2.5.3-170306 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. The handler passes the addHostFilter form value to strcpy without checking its length before copying it into a fixed destination. Authenticated web-interface access is required; public evidence demonstrates denial of service but does not demonstrate code execution.
