Admin-authenticated code execution via PAPI stack overflow
Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026
Stack overflows in HPE Aruba Networking AOS-8 and AOS-10 allow remote authenticated users to run code with elevated privileges. HPE identifies the locus only as several PAPI management-service components reached through the CLI and does not disclose the exact unsafe operation or affected functions. Administrative credentials and network access to the management path are required; exploitation executes arbitrary code with elevated operating-system privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=10.4.0.0 <=10.4.1.10
- Affected versionversion=10.7.0.0 <=10.7.2.2

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
