Unauthenticated task execution via webhook authentication bypass
Published May 26, 2026 · Updated May 26, 2026
Authentication bypass in FIT2CLOUD MaxKB before 2.9.0 allows remote attackers to invoke untokened EVENT webhook triggers. WebhookAuth returns (None, {}), which Django REST Framework treats as authenticated, while EventTrigger.execute checks a token only when one exists. A valid trigger ID and an EVENT trigger created without a token are required; the bound task runs, including custom Python code when configured.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
