Remote code execution via None.py interpolation
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
Code injection in Hugging Face Diffusers 0.37.0 allows remote attackers to execute code when a user loads a malicious Hub pipeline. _resolve_custom_pipeline_and_cls formats an omitted custom_pipeline value as None.py, downloads that file, and dynamically imports it after the trust_remote_code check skips the absent argument. Exploitation requires a user to call DiffusionPipeline.from_pretrained() on the attacker's repository; the imported code runs with the user's process privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
