CVE-2026-44825Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated cluster takeover via hardcoded template credentials

Published Jun 1, 2026 · Updated Jun 1, 2026

Hardcoded credentials in Apache Solr 9.4.0 through 9.10.1 and 10.0.0 allow remote attackers to gain cluster administration. The bin/solr auth enable BasicAuth bootstrap silently adds superadmin, admin, search, and index template users whose default passwords are publicly known. Exposure requires SolrCloud bootstrap with that CLI command and unchanged template passwords; successful authentication grants full administrative access.
